Picture(sssssssss)

I supposed to do my Science project, but I ended up browsing around :p
My blogwalking today brought me to Michelle Koesnadi's photography blog. She's a fashion blogger who recently bought a new Canon 550D.
(I want that oneeeeee!!! It's not really expensive compared to another version of Canon camera, but it's already able to record in HD, I guess *hahaha, still I'm more a video person rather than photography person after all* Uhhh... But oh well, I better wait and save money for 7D anyway. #random)

Anyway, back to her photography blog. She said she fell in love with photography and she posted pictures she took there.
As the new photographer, she composed her pictures quite well.

Seeing her picture made me looked back to the pictures I took along these time but never get published. Hehehe...
I never feel that my pictures are good enough to be seen by others (since I'm always surrounded by a lot of professional and talented photographer)
But suddenly, I want to upload mine :)

So here they are, a couple of it.

Green lake at Spring

Looks like this bird was thinking to walk closer to me

Still around Greenlake

My cute fat cat, NyomNyom

Poker Token from my friend's house

Kau-Kau's Roasted Pork, the best one in Seattle!

Apple Magic Mouse!!! The sharp image on the bottom of the mouse makes it looks so sleek

I love how shallow the depth of field are,
until it could emphasize only one card from the whole box

The color and the natural bokeh effect on this one is my most favorite

I took it all recently with my Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens that my bf gave me on my birthday.
I love the bokeh (blur area) effect on most of the picture. With f/1.8, the depth of field of the pictures is extremely shallow, so the selective focus works really well :D
Also the pictures are really sharp.
Big thanks to my favorite little prime lens :)

Just One More Quarter Left

Today I was doing my Science lab report at library until around 10pm, while waiting for my bf finished with his portfolio class. After his class was done, he approached me to the library upstair then we walked hand by hand along the empty corridor to elevator and went back home.

It's our simple habit since about a year ago. Every time he has night class, I will do my homework or study at library so after we both finish, we can go back home together.

But when we did it tonight, I just simply realized. This is the last quarter for our habit, he will finish his school and graduate this quarter.
Next quarter, he will no longer here to have a night class.
Next quarter, he will not be able anymore to approach me at library at night and walk hand by hand along the corridor.

Yes, he might still be around if he gets a job here (or if he doesn't, he'll be back to Indonesia for good, but for this time I don't wanna think about this possibility yet. I do hope for the best).
But it will be a slightly different situation.
So surely, I will be missing our time together at school :)

Below are two pretend-to-be-cute pictures that I took with my laptop camera at Fall quarter last year XD I just simply really bored doing the whole assignment, so he sneaked out from the class and went upstair to cheer me up :)

Just one more quarter left for us, doing this kind of thing at school :)

If Life Is So Short

If life is so short...
I want to ask you, will you miss me when I'm not around anymore?
Will you think of me?
Will you cry for me?

I don't know, but I don't really care

If life is so short...
I want to tell you, how much I grateful to meet you in my life

If life is so short...
I want to express, how thankful I am for having a chance living my life right now

If life is so short...
I want say that I have no regret. I've been living my live at its fullest.
I've been doing my best in everything I do.
I've been honest with myself, my feeling, and my passion.
I've been sharing all things I have to people in need.
I've been fighting the best of me for other people's sake.
I've been trying to shine, as bright as I can, for others.
I'm always ready to go, everyday :)

But if life is so short...
Last thing I want to do is to tell you, dear... how much I love you
No need to say names, I know you know who you are.

"Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang"

The title I wrote above is one famous quote from one Indonesian heroine, RA. Kartini, whom we, Indonesian, are remembering today.

Back then, long ago before our independence, when Indonesian were still under the Netherlands colonialism, women were forbidden to get any kind of education. The role for women wasn't neither studying nor working, but staying at home. Women was destined to be married and responsible for house duty. Period. No excuses.
It's been happened for ages, before Kartini stood up for our gender. She fought for the equality in education for both men and women.
Yes, she faced hardship through her way, but she did it at last.
"Habis gelap terbitlah terang" (After Darkness, Light is Born) was the compilation book of her letter about her thought of women's right to her husband.

I never read those book, frankly. Yet, I never thought too much about Kartini and her journey. What I remembered was only a bit story from my history class on elementary year and the ritual to wear kebaya every April 21st on my kindergarten year.

But today, as I was really busy doing my 3D modeling homework, I suddenly thought... maybe without her, I might not be able to do what I do right now.
I wouldn't have any opportunities to study about filmmaking aboard.
I wouldn't learn how to edit the video and make 3D modeling.
Instead, I would only stay at home... cooking, doing house duty, waiting for my husband to come home.
What a boring life...

So, as I'm seeing through these pictures below, I want to express my gratefulness for her. Thank you for making me able to have such a great opportunities like this.
Thank you for giving me a chance to fight my own future :)

And about my current condition, after my down phase last week.. as she said "After darkness, light is born"... I feel much much better now.
I'm still not at my very best state, but yes... it's not as worse as before :)

After darkness, light is born...
Actually, light is never disappear nor fading away... Light is always there, only our eyes that being blocked and it makes us unable to see.
As for me, my light is always with me.... I only need to clean up my mind and my heart to make it shine again :)

Down...

I used to be so positive every time...
I used to be cheerful and smiling along the way...
I used to be a shoulder to cry on...
I used to be the one who encourage people to keep on walking...

I aim for the brightest star in the sky... so I can always give hope to them who are losing their hope.

But when I get down and depressed...
Then what should I do?

Recent Updates 2

As I said... I still have another updates to be shared, and so here it is:

During the Spring break, I finally managed to make my simple self-project music video from my favorite Indonesian singer, Adhitia Sofyan. I chose the new song from his new album, Forget Your Plan. The song title is The Stalker.

Based on my interpretation, instead of showing the creepy stalker, I planned to show the cute stalker. Still look psycho on her way, but interesting to be watched and make people laugh :)

Long story short... I made it at last. It might still not perfect, but I still love it.
As usual, I worked hard for those

Would love to hear your comment about this... :)

Actually, that clip is my "warming up" project before I start the real one this June. I'm really excited about that.
That will be a new experience for me, and it might be kinda hard, but I take it as a new challenge!
Last year, I faced a Yogyakomtek challenge and now it will be this one.

Then last updates,... well, this is not about me but about a good friend of
mine, Bee.
Finally he launched his first clothing line named BEANY Clothing Co.
He designed T-shirts with cute and flirty design on it. I'm really glad, he really made it at last :)

Here's the sample of his design

If you're interested... feel free to order at beanbagproject@gmail.com :)
Will appreciate your support very much :D

Well, I think, that's all for now :D
Will find some other time write again, soon :)

Recent Updates

It's been quite a while since the last time I really wrote something. Actually, I always had something on my mind to be shared, and I wanted to write it down. But apparently, I always found excuses for not writing >.<"
Bad me...

Anywaaaay...This is April 2010 already! Here's recent updates in my life during these blogging hiatus time:

First...,
I've turned 25 now!!!!

Omg, I'm 25... When I was a child, those number seemed so far far away. And since a couple years before, I started thinking how would it feel to be a 25 years old? I always thought at that point I would have been successful and wise enough, when apparently.. I'm still not :p
But, even so... I'm still thankful for being granted another year to live :) I hope I can be a better, wiser, and stronger person than before.
Same as before, I just wish I can repay God's kindness and blessing through my whole life by sharing it to others.
I wish every journey I will face this year will lead me to my dream... being 'stella pacis' to everyone :)

Here's a couple picture of my birthday celebration with my dearest friends :)

I decided to make Nasi Tumpeng. It was my birthday celebration after all :)
Plus... there was another thing that need to be celebrated. I'll tell you after this.

A bunch of dearest friend :)
Living far far away from my mother land isn't easy, but yes, having them makes it a bit easier

A birthday cheers.

Birthday present from Cleric Bezoe :) Definitely love it!
Canon lens EF 50mm/f1.8 II
Thanks dear :)

Another update is.... (which also another reason why I made tumpengan)
I finally finished my first short movie!!!

Yea, finally I made it :) The idea was from Dewi "Dee" Lestari's book, Rectoverso. I really love the story very much until I really want to translate it into visual being. I know It isn't perfect yet, but a journey of thousand miles still need to be begun with a first step, right? So, let it be my single step where I'll begin my thousand miles journey.
Let it be my first step, where I will always look back at in the future :D
And I do hope I will smile that day :)

And oh ya... I managed to finish it before I turned 25! That was a challenge I said to myself after I knew that Mas Oyiek's first short film was made when he was 25. Long story short, it made me want to make mine before I reached 25 :)

Hehehe... I still have a couple updates, but will save it for later :)
If you see the video, please let comment there ya. Let me know what you think about it.
Thank youuuu :)
