Recent Updates 2

As I said... I still have another updates to be shared, and so here it is:

During the Spring break, I finally managed to make my simple self-project music video from my favorite Indonesian singer, Adhitia Sofyan. I chose the new song from his new album, Forget Your Plan. The song title is The Stalker.

Based on my interpretation, instead of showing the creepy stalker, I planned to show the cute stalker. Still look psycho on her way, but interesting to be watched and make people laugh :)

Long story short... I made it at last. It might still not perfect, but I still love it.
As usual, I worked hard for those

Would love to hear your comment about this... :)

Actually, that clip is my "warming up" project before I start the real one this June. I'm really excited about that.
That will be a new experience for me, and it might be kinda hard, but I take it as a new challenge!
Last year, I faced a Yogyakomtek challenge and now it will be this one.

Then last updates,... well, this is not about me but about a good friend of
mine, Bee.
Finally he launched his first clothing line named BEANY Clothing Co.
He designed T-shirts with cute and flirty design on it. I'm really glad, he really made it at last :)

Here's the sample of his design

Recent Updates

It's been quite a while since the last time I really wrote something. Actually, I always had something on my mind to be shared, and I wanted to write it down. But apparently, I always found excuses for not writing >.<"
Bad me...

Anywaaaay...This is April 2010 already! Here's recent updates in my life during these blogging hiatus time:

First...,
I've turned 25 now!!!!

Omg, I'm 25... When I was a child, those number seemed so far far away. And since a couple years before, I started thinking how would it feel to be a 25 years old? I always thought at that point I would have been successful and wise enough, when apparently.. I'm still not :p
But, even so... I'm still thankful for being granted another year to live :) I hope I can be a better, wiser, and stronger person than before.
Same as before, I just wish I can repay God's kindness and blessing through my whole life by sharing it to others.
I wish every journey I will face this year will lead me to my dream... being 'stella pacis' to everyone :)

Here's a couple picture of my birthday celebration with my dearest friends :)

I decided to make Nasi Tumpeng. It was my birthday celebration after all :)
Plus... there was another thing that need to be celebrated. I'll tell you after this.

A bunch of dearest friend :)
Living far far away from my mother land isn't easy, but yes, having them makes it a bit easier

A birthday cheers.

Birthday present from Cleric Bezoe :) Definitely love it!
Canon lens EF 50mm/f1.8 II
Thanks dear :)

Another update is.... (which also another reason why I made tumpengan)
I finally finished my first short movie!!!

Yea, finally I made it :) The idea was from Dewi "Dee" Lestari's book, Rectoverso. I really love the story very much until I really want to translate it into visual being. I know It isn't perfect yet, but a journey of thousand miles still need to be begun with a first step, right? So, let it be my single step where I'll begin my thousand miles journey.
Let it be my first step, where I will always look back at in the future :D
And I do hope I will smile that day :)

And oh ya... I managed to finish it before I turned 25! That was a challenge I said to myself after I knew that Mas Oyiek's first short film was made when he was 25. Long story short, it made me want to make mine before I reached 25 :)

Hehehe... I still have a couple updates, but will save it for later :)
If you see the video, please let comment there ya. Let me know what you think about it.
Thank youuuu :)

Little story about Mas Oyiek

Today I was having a little chat with another good friend in Yogya, Arief Hartawan a.k.a Mas Oyiek, a professional video editor. I knew him from one mac forum about a year ago, but apparently at that time I never had a chance to know him closer.

To be frank, a year ago I had a low self esteem every time I talked with him. He's a very talented people, while I was just a newbie on editing and stuff. Simply I felt so little and didn't have any confidence to talk with him. So, I just called him at ym only if I needed his help and didn't try to get closer.

But it was before I met him again on my summer breaks in Yogya, last June-August and got a chance to do some work with him, which made us had to spend some time together.
Fortunately, it gave me a chance also to know him better than before. Then, as time goes by, I found that he was a really good friend not only to work with, but also to talk and spend time together.

As a person, he amazed me day by day. He isn't being limited by the circumstances around, yet he's always exploring new things alone. Won't be a surprise at all if he know almost everything.

Below is his project about one famous place in Yogya, Malioboro Street with me as the host.

believe it or not, he made the whole production only by his little canon ixus!

Now he already become one of a couple person that I respect so much. Just too bad that I got a chance to know him closer just when I was gonna leave soon, so it was only a little time left to learn many thing from him.
However, at least I got those chance :)
And before I left, he sent me a text message, asked me to fight for my dream here in Seattle for his part.
"Titip mimpi-mimpiku di sana ya."

Let me tell you one little secret now :)
Discreetly, now he is one of my role model too. Those last sentence before I went become my motivation to work and fight harder than before; knowing that a very talented people like him trust me that much.
Yeah, now every time I felt down here, I remember not giving up, because I want to learn as much as I can here for his part too.
So someday I can go back home and share him things that I learned.
I mean, look!!! He's a very talented people, but instead I'm the one who so damn lucky and blessed for having a chance to study aboard :(
So, I would be soooooooo much embarrassed by myself if I couldn't do that someday!!!

Today, we had a little chat and I was so grateful by reading what he wrote.

Even I knew... not yet. He's the one who is a very great director and editor; I'm not.... Not yet.
but I know... as long I keep fighting my best, someday I will :)
I'm looking forward to that day.
And at that time, I do really want to work with him :)

And if somehow you read this, Mas Oyiek. I just want to say thanks for everything.
It's such a bless to know you :)
